Meditation and Yoga

The training aims to provide solid foundations on Indology, the foundations of Buddhism and traditional meditative practices to understand the evolution of meditation in the most modern currents up to Mindfulness and to be able to decline its principles in teaching children and young people, in School and more generally in the educational field.

The Master

The training consists of 4 weekends, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 18.00.

The Master is an AIYB post-training certified Yoga Alliance International Italia® and recognized by MIUR as AIYB FOR SCHOOL (4 modules of 20 hours). It is possible to pay with the “carta del docente”.
Access to the specialization Master’s, is subject to a cognitive interview and addressed to teachers of the School of all levels and to AIYB certified teachers.

Meditation in the yogic field

Notes on meditation according to the modern Masters and practice: ancient meditations, mantras and concentration practices

  • Patanjali yogasutra

Dharma and Buddhist philosophy

  • Birth and history of Buddhist philosophy; The Four Noble Truths and dependent arising; In-depth explanation of the Q.N.V.: Suffering, Origin, Termination and Path.
  • Ethics and karma; Process of death, intermediate state and rebirth in the conception of the Buddhist tradition; The two different vehicles of the Buddhist philosophical schools.
  • Practice: analytical meditation and awareness sessions according to the tibetan Buddhist tradition.

Brain and meditation: neuro-scientific studies

Analysis of the effects of meditation on our brain according to the most important neuroscientific studies, declined in the following points:

Mindfulness

Mindfulness practices

Mindfulness practices, a mental training in attention and awareness, teach us to get out of automatisms and be present in small daily gestures. The 8-part didactic-experiential path explores the essential Mindfulness exercises and helps to cultivate new skills to manage what happens in our body, in our mind, in our life:

  • Perception: we perceive what we already believe
  • Remember the wisdom of the body
  • Learn to live with discomfort
  • Know the emotions and learn to manage them

The Secret Garden: the safe space within myself

Integrated yoga and mindfulness proposal for children and adolescents: interpretation of the complete protocol of 8 MBI meetings for children and teenagers, a metaphor for a psycho-physical state of inner peace and awareness, easy to access even for the little ones. There is a secret garden inside me:
